Need Organization?

I am a list person. I make a list at the beginning of the day of what needs to be done and check it off as I go. I do this at home...and at work. To do lists. Shopping lists. Blog lists. Wish lists. You get the point. If I don't write something down, more than likely I will forget. Soooooo, when Jenny from lobotoME asked me if I'd be interested in checking out some of their products and writing a review, I checked out the site, said heck yeah and added it to my list. I think I've mentioned this in the past, but if I do something that wasn't on my list, I add it to my list...just so I can cross it out. These products are really, really cool! lobotoME products are made from recycled paper and soy-based inks...and if that's not awesome enough, they partner with a local, enviro-friendly printing house to produce their products...and their offices are wind powered. That was enough to convince me. That, and the fact that I love paper and notepads and making lists. Wanna check of their notepads out? I thought you might! Let me start with a kitchen-related pad, Feed Me... A good-sized pad (~5 1/2" x 8 1/2") with the left column listing days of the week for your day/meal plan and a right column for your corresponding grocery list. Handy! Not to mention the fun little space at the bottom ...if all else fails, takeout #'s. Ha! I have scattered lists as is, so this is a no-brainer for me...everything for the week together on one pad. Nice.Okay, how 'bout you out there with kids? The kind that need babysitting now and again. Do you leave a long list of numbers and instructions? I do. Sit Me... is a great pad for just that purpose. Or there is Fit Me... for weekly health and sanity planning. It has a place for planned exercise and actual axercise...healthy eating accomplishments and fitness goas for the week. And yes, writing things down definitely helps you gain perspective. Two of my favorite pads are the List Me.../Doodle Me... (yes, I'm a doodler, too) and Save Me... The first is divided into 2 columns, left brain side (lists) and right brain side (doodles) all in one pad! Pretty sure I was the inspiration for this pad. The second is simply a weekly to do list. A space for day/date and an extra space to look ahead to next week...again, made for me. Does anybody else buy planners and use them pretty religiously for a few months? You know, penciling things in, writing down appointments...all in preparation for the times you get to say let me check my calendar? And by the time December rolls around and it's time to buy a new one, you look back and wonder what happened in your life for the last 8 months or so? Because the pages are blank. Crisp, like new...but not reuseable because they're dated. Anybody else do this? That's why I like this. I take it one week at a time. Plan it out. Plus, I can just rip off the sheet and stick it in my purse or my pocket and not have to carry around the whole planner. There is also Check Me... a pre-made shopping list (with space for add-ons...and blank on back for even more add-ons) with the goal of getting "you in and out of the store with healthy foods and your mind intact." That's a good goal. Positive thinking can work wonders.Something else fun, each pad has a fun quote at the bottom. I don't wanna give 'em all away, but I LOVE the one at the bottom of the Check Me... pad. "The odds of going to the store for a loaf of bread & coming out with only a loaf of bread are 3 billion to one." ~Erma Bombeck I like these lobotoME products so much that I've joined up with them, so I can help them promote and grow...I suppose I should alert you that this is my disclaimer. It is. Simply click on this logo:

I have not, not just lists, but NOTEBOOKS. ( a Christmas notebook, where I put down everything I want, need, have to do. Things I've bought, cooked in the past, sent, etc etc etc. )
So...of course, I would like these products.
And to top it off.... they look lovely. Not like some silly spiral notebook I have sitting on my desk right now!

  • comfycook

When I got my first planner, life began. I accomplished more and felt much better about my days.

I also wrote anything down so I could cross it off.

When, I do not have a planner of some kind, I get half of what I would like done.

    This is a great idea.

  • Kim

I love the notepads Heather! I think you and I are one in the same with lists. When I get a new cookbook, I make a list of recipes that I want to make. I always have a running list of kitchen tools/appliances that I need or want. I have a shopping list kinda of like the check me pad you showed. I also make to do lists with things I've already done just so I can feel accomplished and cross them off. Now I'm really laughing...My coming soon note on my sidebar is really for me so that I remember what to post! You name it and I have a list for it :D I'm definitely going to check these out and order some when my checkbook recovers from Christmas!! Cute post.

  • Krista

Oooh. I'm a right brained doodler, yet a compulsive list maker as well. Very cool products!

  • Donna-FFW

I have to makes lists, too. Or at least need to write it down to remember. I always carry with me a notebook no matter where I go. 'to do' lists come very handy indeed.

  • Mimi

I love lists. Sometimes I make one near the end of the day adding and checking off things that I've already done. It makes me feel like I have accomplished something after all.
    Mimi

  • Chef E

Too bad they did not have these when I worked for the culinary school! I love lists too...

I love that if you did something you did not have on the list, just add it and cross it out! Ha!

  • Nutmeg Nanny

These pads are so neat! You are so lucky to be picked to give these little pads a try. I'm totally off to check them out. I'm in need of a good pad :)

  • Chris

I use BigOven desktop software for my menu planning but sometimes paper is just so much easier. They've got a nice product line and I love their name, LobotoME.

  • Erica

I am a list person too!!!! Those are really cool... I would love one of those pads.

  • Christina and Jacob

I so add things to my daily checklist just that I've already done or am two seconds away from completing, just so I can have that satisfaction of scratching it off. And, I also break all my activities into the smallest increments possible so that I can scratch off even more. These lists look great!

  • Bridgett

When you wrote that you add things to your list that you've accomplished...just so you can cross it out...I had to giggle.

I do THE. EXACT. SAME. THING.

While I don't keep as many lists now (besides grocery lists), when I was in college and nursing school, I did all the time. I couldn't live without my planner and I actually filled the whole thing, mostly with homework assignments, test dates, paper due dates, etc.

These products look phenomenal though! Great review.

  • Diana Bauman

These are super cute!! I really need to start writing things down and getting organized! Great find :)

  • Mary

I'm a VERY big list maker myself - I think it's because I constantly think of other things while I'm doing, well, other things! If I didn't keep lists I'd forget so much. That is an uber cool organizing system!! I pretty much just keep those old timey composition notebooks though and that seems to work well for me. Thanks for the review & best of luck with your new affiliate partnership!!

  • Juliana

I like to make list too, and will definitely check you this pads...they are so cute :-)

  • Velva

Now, those pads have my name all over them-Especially, the feed me pad :-)

I broke out laughing when I read that if you completed task that was not on your list, you wrote it, just so you could cross it out. I am list freak and I do the exact same thing. I thought it was just me. Too funny.
